Burberry Rebrand

AFTER TWO DECADES THE ICONIC BRAND LAUNCHED THEIR DRAMATIC REBRANDED WITH A NEW CONTEMPORARY LOGO AND MONOGRAM.

Designed by graphic designer Peter Saville (also known for his work for Calvin Klein) and rolled out in only 4 weeks from concept to final!

THE NUMBER ONE QUESTION IS, WHY..WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE BEHIND THE REBRAND?

Well firstly, the changes came after Riccardo Tisci left his role at Givenchy in February 2017 to take over the Chief Creative Officer at Burberry London. Tisci is yet to launch his fashion collection, however, the rebrand has a lot to say about what to expect in the coming future from Burberry.

Tisci’s reasoning behind the rebrand is to reposition the brand to be seen as an authentic luxury brand after a significant lag in sales growth compared to those of their competitors. It is also said that the rebrand is to connect with Burberry’s London-based customers welcoming a #newera.

Tisci will show his first Burberry collection in September 2018.
